Paxis explains your diagnosis and treatment in plain English, using published research and the guidelines your care team follows. Everything it tells you comes with a source.

Put in your patient's details and Paxis finds the studies that fit. Their record keeps building between visits, so you can see what has happened since you last met, and new research that matches them turns up in your inbox.

What an answer looks like

“My tumour came back and they mentioned pembrolizumab. Is that instead of chemo?”

How a patient sees it

Chemo attacks the tumour. Pembrolizumab works on your immune system, helping it find cancer cells it had been missing.

It can be given on its own or with chemo. Ask your oncologist which one they have in mind for you.

How a clinician sees it

R/M HNSCCCPS 100post-platinum

Monotherapy against pembrolizumab plus platinum, stratified by CPS. Every response and survival figure is shown against the trial it came from. Eligibility is checked against what this patient has already had.

What you can do

What you can do from day one

You don't need to know the terminology. None of this replaces your oncologist.

1

Ask anything

Use whatever words you have.

More

You don't need to know the medical words. If Paxis can't tell what you mean, it asks you.

2

Make sense of a report

Paste it in and get it explained.

More

Paxis goes through a scan or pathology result line by line and tells you what each part means.

3

Understand your medication

What it's for and what to expect.

More

What the drug does, why your team picked it, and what other people say it was like to take.

4

Keep track of how you feel

Note things down as they happen.

More

Paxis puts your notes next to your medicines. After a few weeks you can usually see a pattern.

5

Go in prepared

Turn worries into questions.

More

Paxis takes everything you've been wondering about and makes a short list for your next appointment.

6

Send a question to your doctor

Some things need your oncologist.

More

Paxis sends your question over along with everything your doctor needs to answer it.

What you get

Built around the patient

This half of the product has been in development the longest.

1

A record that stays

Diagnosis, biomarkers and treatment history stay on file, so you are never asking about a patient from scratch.

2

Studies that match, with the evidence pulled out

Paxis checks each study against this patient and tells you which criteria it could confirm and which it couldn't.

3

Trial matching

Paxis reads the eligibility criteria on ClinicalTrials.gov and checks them against the profile you have stored.

4

Treatment comparison

Arms side by side, with a citation on every claim. Any number we can't trace back to a passage gets removed.

5

Alerts that keep running

Leave a case open and Paxis keeps reading. You hear about anything new that matches that patient.

6

A question inbox worth opening

Only the questions that genuinely need you get through, and you can see the whole conversation behind them.

What happens in between

How a question becomes an answer

Four steps between your question and your answer.

01

We read the research

Papers get broken up carefully, so no finding ends up separated from the people it applied to.

02

We match your words to theirs

You might say "no longer surgical". A paper says unresectable. Paxis knows they are the same thing.

03

We narrow it down to you

Your situation gets broken into its parts and searched piece by piece. Anything that does not fit you is dropped.

04

We write it up

The answer comes back in language you can use, with the sources attached.

What happens in between

What Paxis does with a case

Four steps between the case you describe and the studies that come back.

01

Papers are read in sections

Eligibility, methods and subgroups are kept together, so a result never gets cut off from the population it came from.

02

Your phrasing is mapped to theirs

You write "no longer surgical". The paper says unresectable. Paxis treats them as the same term.

03

The case is searched axis by axis

Site, histology, stage, biomarkers, prior lines and comorbidity are searched separately, then scored together.

04

Claims are checked back to the text

Each figure is tied to the passage it came from. Anything we can't trace gets dropped before you see the answer.

Where we draw the line

What Paxis won't do

These limits live in the code. They aren't instructions we gave a model and hoped it followed.

It won't diagnose you or tell you what to do

Paxis won't tell you what's wrong, which treatment to have, or how long you have. Those go to a clinician.

Safety checks come first

Every message is checked before anything is written. Emergencies match fixed rules, because a rule can't be talked out of firing.

You can check every answer

The studies behind an answer are right there. If we can't show you where something came from, we don't say it.

Your information is yours

You choose what to share. You can delete all of it whenever you want, in one go.

Where we draw the line

What Paxis won't do

These limits live in the code. They aren't instructions we gave a model and hoped it followed.

It won't make the call

Paxis finds evidence and lays it out. Choosing the treatment stays with you.

Grounded or removed

Every figure is tied to the passage it came from. Anything we can't trace gets stripped before it reaches you.

Eligibility is shown, never assumed

Paxis tells you which criteria it could confirm against the record and which it couldn't check.

A failed search stays a failed search

If retrieval comes back empty, Paxis says so. It won't fall through to writing an answer from nothing.

Leave your email and we'll write to you when there's a place. Telling us about your diagnosis is up to you, but it helps us decide what to build first.

Leave your email and we'll be in touch about the pilot. We're starting with three to five practices and around a hundred patients, over ninety days.

Which of these is closest? Optional

Only if you want to. It helps us decide which communities to open to first. Please leave out anything that identifies someone else, and do not paste test results or documents.

Your setting, tumour types and roughly how many patients you see. Please leave out anything that identifies a patient, and do not paste notes or results.

Paxis is free while we're in beta. At some point it will become a paid subscription, and we'll give you plenty of warning before that happens.

We're Patient Axis. Paxis for short.

We'll only email you about Paxis. Anything you write here is kept separately from any clinical record. Read our privacy policy and terms.
